When I start my car, most of the time the idle is normal around 800rpm, but every now and then I start it and the idle skyrockets to 2500rpm and I am stuck turning the car off and on until I get the normal idle speed of 800rpm. It has a tendency to do this after I've already driven x amount of idles to point B and start my car to return home to point A which is usually a bad situation because I am not in a place to look under the hood and see if the throttle is getting stuck open or what. Usually when I get the 2500rpm idle and I stop and restart my car to get the normal idle, my car will lose power under throttle until 3000-3500rpm. I've checked the ACIS and it is moving freely and is not gummed up and am wondering what else may be the problem.

Are you familiar with the clicking with shutdown?
When the idle is high, tap lightly on the ISC. Maybe it is sticking.
