    DOnt know the year of the block, its supposed to be a jdm one but i know there is no difference. Block was never deck before and the machine shop remove .3mm of it.

    Exact, since it was my first engine rebuild, i decided to go that way. It was a stupid idea. I know i will need to bring the block to an other machine shop but it piss me off since i pay too much $$$ for that crappy job.

    Second UPDATE : Block look like junk...IT look like the pit are way to depth and the gasket will never be able to seal.     Ok, problem resolve, it was the steering bumper bolt. I put a small piece of rubber hose on it with some grease and it work perfectly. I need to say thanks to SM!!

    I have the exact same problem. I would like if someone that have post here would be able to tell me what was the problem?! I have play in the center bearing. And about 1/4 - 1/2 inch play inside the diff.

    look like i will need to deck the block Block was already deck at least 1 time. Could it be deck again?? i hate to have to remove piston since block was completely machined 20k miles ago. It only need to be deck to get a nice surface.

    I will go with a stock Toyota HG and ARP for sure. Could it be a problem if i leave the surface rust in the water pass? I dont want to strip the block because piston were changed 20 000miles ago. Can i change the bearing only with removing the oil pan?
