    really guy....

I see a GE dizzy and IM. Must have been a GE+T conversion. Not a true GTE to begin with.

Tire Pressures.... what do you run?

I run 35 all around. They seem to be wearing evenly across the tread.

    Need Exhaust Suggestions 7MGE

Glad to hear this since I just ordered that exact exhaust system and was a little worried about how it would sound. I can't argue with $240 shipped...lol. And Poodles, agree with you 100%. In smaller diameter piping, the exhaust gases have a higher velocity and the inertia actually helps...

    7MGE air intake help

What ever piping you use, make sure you heat wrap it. It'll get REALLY hot if you don't. Hot air entering engine = less power.

The only reason I opened up mine was so that I could hear it when I step on it. :P

    7MGE air intake help

You can only remove the AFM if you go with a standalone ecu and switch to a MAF or MAP sensor setup. That is not necessary unless you're building your engine with some significant mods (cams, higher compression, or turbo etc...). Don't worry about the stock AFM. A stock GE will not outflow it...

    Where did the AFM go?

I believe I have been misunderstood here. Partially my fault by not saying "MAP in combination with IAT" (instead of just MAP) in terms of air flow measurements. Obviously the MAP alone cannot take airflow measurements, that is correct. So allow me to rephrase... "Sure a MAF is more accurate at...

    Where did the AFM go?

Fair enough. Don't need a bunch of people telling me the same thing repeatedly. Lol. That was really my beef. But I have no issue admitting I'm wrong. :) Sure a MAF is more accurate at measuring air flow vs. MAP. When it comes to tuning with a stand alone it makes little difference in the end...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

^Nice! Didn't do anything major to my car just yet, but planning to install a new exhaust system (in the mail as we speak). So decided to record the sound of the stock setup to compare afterwards: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAxtOZB0an0 One of the more decent sounding stock systems...

What is it about the stock PP and ceramic disc combination that makes it horrible?

    W58 clutch replacement question

The clutch I had in my civic wasn't so bad that it forced me to struggle around parking lots etc. It simply became second-nature as I just adjusted my driving/shifting habits. It didn't make it more difficult to drive at all, other than the pedal was heavier. Since I will be keeping the stock PP...

    Where did the AFM go?

I never said AFM/MAF's don't work and don't work well. Chill out guys. lol Forgive me for not adding "IMO" after "MAP>AFM" in my first reply. It's what I prefer to use/tune with. As long as the stock electronics can keep up with and measure/compensate for what they measure (and the fuel...

    Where did the AFM go?

Oh no doubt AFM/MAF is accurate. There are trade-offs to each method. To each his/her own. :)

    W58 clutch replacement question

I had a 3 puck ceramic exedy clutch in my civic which was really heavy and had an on or off engagement which most people couldn't drive without stalling 6 times. I learned and adapted to drive it perfectly smooth right away, no problem. It only squealed and chattered occasionally when cold and I...

    Where did the AFM go?

Not really a step down. I'd rather my ecu take a MAP and IAT measurement directly from the manifold than assume what just went through the AFM will enter the manifold a moment later (isn't always the case, especially when people go and use an external BOV on an AFM metered engine...) and...

    W58 clutch replacement question

Did some research and by the sounds of it, the popular choice for replacing the oem clutch is to use an ACT (4 or 6-puck?) sprung ceramic disc with the oem flywheel and PP. I just want to confirm with others who have done this... I have a basically stock 7MGE with the only mods being intake...

Is an Mkiii the right car for me?

To the OP: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use your education funding to support a vehicle build up. Car builds (no mater what make or model) are a huge bottomless pit, in which you will never get your money back. At least most of it. Do not go into debt because of a car build. If you can afford...

How many people run an air filter on their BOV?

Also, if you're running any type of MAF or AFM that measures the intake air prior to the turbo, you SHOULD be recirculating the BOV to just after the MAF/AFM and prior to the turbo inlet anyways. Otherwise it's giving extra fuel for all that metered air you just dumped out to atmosphere when you...

How many people run an air filter on their BOV?

On our MK1 MR2 with 4agze converted to turbo with 4age NA intake, we ran a Bosch oem Bov (used on porsche 911 turbo's) and they are syncronic. They purposely stay half open at idle and part throttle. But the moment there is any boost, it closes instantly. This is done to improve throttle...
