Thanks for the help and pictures I worked on setting the timing today for a little bit but got pulled away to take care of other things it's still backfiring through both intake and exhaust.

I meant as far as upgrades to put on the car yea the intake and exhaust manifold on the car are stock sorry for not clarifying

heres a pic of the maf and the throttle cable bracket he had jerry rigged it with a small piece of metal i have a feeling that something is missing let me know i appreciate the help from everyone and hopefully these pictures help but i have figured most of the issues out with the links...

Well thanks to everyone who has helped and not moved on. The car is a mess but for 600 bucks I was like what the hell.

i checked the timing and yes its off by a tooth. and no it dont start im going to set the timing tomorrow ran out of day light but it was back firing really bad through the intake. the guy went and modified the maf he took it out of the stock location and cut a hole in the rubber connector and...

ya right now im trying to get her running im currently fixing the previous owners mistakes and its extremely clear that he didnt know exactly what he was doing. but ya i will be looking forward to possibly meeting up with you.
