I am using the stock 7M fan with my SC400 clutch and 2JZ water pump, everything works great, the engine has not run hot yet. I had to ditch the stock 7M shroud though since I had clearance issues. Still, the temp gets to 160 and stays there all day long
my downpipe hits my transmission mount, noticeable at lower RPMs, and it makes a clunk sound and I can feel it in the car. It is easy to look underneath and see if that is it
my 1JZ did not come with the MAP sensor, but the 2JZ one is the same, you can get it at a local store. they are not cheap though.

this link has some good wiring diagrams to help you out...
I replaced all the caps in mine, they were about $4 total, and I got two of each just in case I screw one up.
here are the Mouser part numbers for you

Some were leaking, some weren't but I figured that I might...
If you have the adapter hose, just screw it into the hole, and put your stock 7M pressure sending unit on the other end of the hose, then connect it to the 1JZ oil pressure wiring, when you wire up your body wiring to the 1JZ wiring, the gauge will work perfectly
I have the LS400 thermal clutch fan on the water pump, and mine has not heated up at all. It will get to right around 160 and stay there, no matter how hard I am driving. Double check and make sure that your electric fans are blowing the air the right direction. If they are pushing the air...
Driftmotion has them, it was something like 80 bucks. I have also seen online instructions how you can make your own with a transistor and resistor, but I found it easier to just buy it. It works great with my stock tach. The only thing is, the 1JZ redlines at 7500 RPM, but my tach redline...
sine the ECU is 15 years old or so, the electrolyte can leak out. It can damage the PC board, and will also change the capacitance of the capacitor as well, so it won't run quite right. If you do a google search of 1JZ ECU capacitors, you will find a lot of people complaining about it. It...
I got mine off Ebay from JDM Planet, shipping took forever, but if you make sure it is rear sump without the extended shifter, you should be good to go. I paid 2450 with R154 transmission. It did not come with MAP sensor, but a 2JZ MAP works and is easy to get.
I have a few extra connectors on mine, on the engine, and body too. All the gauges work, and the engine runs great, so there will be some unused connectors.
Probably a dumb question, but are you getting any error codes? You can also check the continuity from the ECU to the ignitor and from the ignitor to the coil packs to make sure that is all good.
No problem. Really, the electrical is not all that difficult, just very time consuming. If you have the plugs from the 7M that came out, you can use them and leave the body connectors alone. I found it easier that way. You might want to change out the capacitors in the ECU before you get in...
I just had that problem, but it turns out that I was overboosting and I guess hitting fuel cut. I backed off the duty cycle on the turbos and the problem went away. Right before it did it though, it boosted really fast. Are you under much load when it happens, or low throttle?
here are the diagrams to wire the 1JZ into the MA70. I found them to be 100% correct.
you will need a tach adapter for your tach to work. Driftmotion has one. Also, use your old oil pressure sending unit, and connect it to the 1JZ wiring, and your oil pressure gauge will work.
