i would double nut the stud to take it out, place adapter in place then put the stud in it like a bolt tighten it up and vuala.
lol i hope i understood your question correctly.
i've been curious on this subject as well, but haven't done any research. i hope you can come up with a good solution. IJ what exactly is the limiting factor in a w2a exchanger system, the only problems i have assosiated with w2a is heat soak, weight, and another liquid to leak.
Thanks for the little guide i always wondered how got supplies and started my 3000 pipe but couldnt find a sealer for aluminum, is there something specific to be used on aluminum , (or metal in general)? As for drilling out the head cause they dont line up sounds outrageous. If this is is the...
napa, part source, auto zone, should have a block heater in stock for about $45? maybe toyota as well but more expensive. slide hammer puller, homemade or bought will work good to remove that old one. good videos, nice work. good luck with build. :)
Ihave also seen/pulled/heard the fans ij pointed to in ford mondao and mercury mystique. i even have one but have nfi how to wire it up. perhaps someone could point me in the right direction via pm... thanks.
Wow what a read, your bad experiences with this car mimic that of my own, same with the good i guess :). Im thinking you should pm me the materials used and procedures to clean and polish the valve covers and intake pieces. Once done that you should do a tutorial thread on how to clean engine...
Lithium, all the power to ya i hope your choice to keep the 7m works out for the best. also it seems to me everyone contemplates the swap due to ease, and the price being close enough to compare. ease meaning parts collection not a bunch of fabbing parts, and alot of support from others as there...
after deciding to go with a 7m, do to budget. after ordering parts left and right for this im at like $3000 before shop fees as my engine builder is still waiting for the arias pistons i ordered. i think the only reason i didnt go 2j is being unfamiliar with it compared to the 7m. Having pulled...
No problem, nash has the setup I want but I ca.t seem to find a catch can with 3 ports
And if possible have the T in the vacuum lines rather than the valve cover lines... if a.yone knows a solution to this let me know
In this thread there is alot of good info, on post #31 is a picture NashMan posted up of his car it is very clear to see where everything goes.

hope this helped.
Im 99% sure that you can only use the three settings as the struts only have the 3 mechanical settings in them iirc.

Problem solved!
The cable had fallen out of the latch assembley under the hood.
I took my car to supra devils shop and put it on the lift, removed a piece of intercooler pipe, and shoved my skinny arm up to the latch assembley and popped it open while getting plenty of cramps. Open the hood...
The handle was the first thing i checked and is NOT the problem. And the day before i was under the hood and it looked as if the cable was stretched a tiny bit and not holding onto the latch right. Stupid me i should have put a little more thought before closing the hood

There is no tension that's why im going to pull the bumper.
Edit: i have an 87 that had an issue with the release aswel but it had to be played with like mentioned above, and this is totally different.

I don't know about that i think the cable just fell out of the slot under the hood. But how can i get it open without the initial popping of the hood?

So my hood will not open when i pull the leaver under the dash. The cable is not broken so i can't use plyers. Its a 1990 turbo so the intercooler is in the way of getting underneath. How might i go about doing this? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Matt
