man just looking through the afm you should be able to tell there is a space to flow unmeasured air about the size of a regular apple slice or a piece of orange lol p.s. regular afm is 2 3/4" Lexus afm is more like 3 1/8" (just a guess)

Yes its aluminum and yes its a good conductor, both for heat and electricity. i would check the starter relay, sorry i cant be of much help.

how about the very misleading 500hp as the title , then 370hp, sure its probably capable but not if the inter cooler cant hold its self together.

check the ground under the intake manifold near the back, think its between the 4 and 5 runners.

i remember reading that bucket shims from a honda atv or motorcycle, have the same dimensions as ours for a lot cheaper. Other vehicles as well but coudn't tell you what from sorry man hope this helps. Matt
