o2 removed, ecu still showing vf

I'm not sure how the supra ecu determines that the O2 is there and working. On a GM car the O2 is biased by resistors to .4v as the O2 heats up it begins to be able to overdrive the bias resistors. So a missing O2 sensor just hangs mid scale and never triggers the lean/rich thresholds in the...

    Maft pro timing control

A quick poll: Should I change the Pro so that the timing monitor takes the programmed timing adjustment into account? Let me know your thoughts. Bob

    maft pro help

old thread I guess. But, some laptops have modems inside that are just like com ports. So if you select the wrong com port (like a modem) and try to update, the update software will sit there waiting for the Pro to connect, and never work. So using TPCU, be sure to try all the com ports...

    maft-pro problem

In retrospect, perhaps. But these are the same connectors that are on the power supplies inside millions of PC's (perhaps billions.) So they should be fine. Glad to hear its running better. Bob

    Volumetric Efficency

The Pro calculates Airflow just like most true speed density controllers and ECU's. Take (engine displacement/2) * RPM * VE * air density in the intake manifold The Pro has 2 default VE tables built in, but can be easily user edited... Analyzing a logfile and comparing MAF airflow to...

    ECU rev limit crystal modification.

I have modded around 100 3000GT/Stealth ECU's with great results. The mustang guys used to do this before there were chips for those cars. Just raise the crystal frequency 10-20% and re-tune. It appears that some Supra ECU's have more than one crystal, I think they all should be...

MAFT-Pro Tuning Thread Unofficial and Uncensored

I don't have any AEM documentation handy. But you can check the O2V reading on the Pro LCD to see what voltage is being received. You have the wiring correct, but remember that there are 2 (different) purple wires. Bob

    Possible low MAP reading?

still sounds low, what are the readings key on, engine off, and at idle? Where did you get the replacement sensor? Is there someone near you that has a known good one? Can you measure voltages at the MAP sensor? Bob

    Possible low MAP reading?

sounds like the sensor is out of spec. I'm in Detroit and my MAP reads 98 or so with the engine off.

Innovate's grounding info is confusing, but I have mine connected to my ECU wiring in my GN. They also say, either use separate ring terminals on separate bolts..... (????) Or solder the blue and white into the same ring terminal and bolt to good ground (I would recommend this....) Bob
