I don't hate kits but to be honest with you I think the only body change would be http://www.suprasport.com/zoomify.asp?catalogid=706&image=assets/images/ShineAutoProject/706/resizednew0561177sw.jpg for me. I just like looking.
Not really sure how this search started... but, in any case, my ricer side apparently decided to kick in today :naughty:. I was cruising the internet when I found this link via an ancient supraforums thread and found some pretty cool, interesting, and down right ugggglly body mods and kits for...
The one that did get under my skin though was some hick in a jacked up and rusty old ford ranger. All the knowledge he had for his judgement was "that'd be way better if you had the one from fast and furious"
As It was explained to me: apparently when you snap the rubber, which is the dampener, to shorten your shaft you will notice some noise. This noise, or buzz, is due to the vibration of the stick caused by the movement of the vehicle.
Your car may have the noise, though it is probably what you...
Glad you guys commented, if you hadn't I would have probably done this and been displeased..
I think I will do a new shifter at some point but as it stands, it's no rush due to funds. MadRPM, check bulletproof automotive, I haven't called their dealers but their site has C's- worth checking...
Yeah, there is definitely better options but for someone who'd rather spend the cash elsewhere this might not be all that bad. I do agree, the inability to use the stock knob is what might hold me back from doing it...
My bad if this info is old news
Just found a DIY short shift mod at http://supras.com/06/techcenter/display.php?QID=30 and thought I'd share it... If you do it and mess up I am not responsible.
I haven't done this (though I plan to), so I won't be useful for answering any questions- this is just something I found online and...
Well I just got a new drive shaft (not aluminum ) in the mail so I put that in. When I lowered the car my muffler sat right down on top of a can of PB blaster and sprayed it everywhere, which was... dumb...
Ooooo and I wired in this pretty new head unit :naughty:
and here's a pic of my soup
Hey man. I guess I have the same questions as the guys who posted before me. Wondering if and mod for 17x9 cobras was needed? And, lol, where did you get the rear window louver?? The only one I have ever found was on Andy's auto sport- I liked the look of yours so I thought I'd ask.
When I saw...
Thanks guys this is great. I have been away from home forever so sorry to be so unresponsive on my end. I am at work right now but will snap some pictures for you and have them up hopefully soon if I get some free time.
Thanks much!
Well, I have somewhat of a random question that I suppose could pertain to any car, but in my case is in relation to my Supra(1987).... I have a nice Sony Xplod setup which on one side of the box is an amp and on the other is a sub-woofer. The amp and sub are internally wired together within the...
I had a similar problem, mine was the result of the u joints not being in sequence. I forget which one it was because i had a shop fix it but just make sure one isn't out of wack with the others.
