As far as the new knob not being threaded? If that's not the case than wouldn't there be less noise, or chance for vibration, with a shorter shaft?

Yeah, there is definitely better options but for someone who'd rather spend the cash elsewhere this might not be all that bad. I do agree, the inability to use the stock knob is what might hold me back from doing it... My bad if this info is old news

Well I just got a new drive shaft (not aluminum :cry:) in the mail so I put that in. When I lowered the car my muffler sat right down on top of a can of PB blaster and sprayed it everywhere, which was... dumb... Ooooo and I wired in this pretty new head unit :naughty: and here's a pic of my soup

I had a similar problem, mine was the result of the u joints not being in sequence. I forget which one it was because i had a shop fix it but just make sure one isn't out of wack with the others.
