I might be posting this in the wrong section.
I have all the parts i need and now i am reinstalling the motor, but im trying to get it done this weekend. I could use the help of somebody who has done this before. Anyone that can give me hand in moreno valley ca, please send me a pm tonight...
Sorry to hear about your supra bud.
Whats with everyone talking down kia? I daily an 05 spectra, paid $5k for it with 80k miles. I get nearly 40mpg in it and has never failed me once.
All your going to know with a narrow band is your rich or lean. You wont know by how much on either end. They were never designed to read that much into it. Wideband setups are relatively inexpensive and will actually give you a reading of what your at.
No. A wideband O2 sensor doesnt work the same way. Regular O2 puts out less than a volt for a signal and switches to tell the computer lean or rich conditions. A wideband operates at around 13.3 volts. The computer will not know what to do with that signal. The wideband controllers that...
Electrical problems are so hard to diagnose especially over the internet. Whenever i get a car with an electrical issue i go straight to the customer/owner and ask them if they have made any changes recently or what stopped working. 9/10 times i figure it out right there. Happy you found your...
If your stereo worked at one time and then suddenly you got static one day i would check the wiring there. You may have a short to that wire causing interference on the radio. Only other option i can think of is pulling each component out and doing a voltage drop across each one. Its tedious but...
From my experience with electrical problems is if that particular component is operating as it should be then the fault is not there. I looked at the tsrm and there are several other components on that dome circuit. There is a short to ground somewhere there you just have to find it doing a...
If you can get a wiring diagram of the dome light circuit you can find your short really easy. You said the dome light still works though? Find out what else is connected to that fuse.
I forgot to mention i travel frequently to running springs. So i have to climb 6000 feet in 14 miles. I love the drive but i worry if it can handle that.
I will look for the hks stamping, any particular reason for asking though?
What outside temps do you guys normally run your vehicles in? Right now we are having a heat wave of 105+ degree weather. Im worried that even after my rebuild and everything working well that temp will just be too...
Thanks. I finally found something in a search of the site. Problem is i think i have now wedged the fork onto the bellhousing. Somehow i have to push the two back together and try to remove the fork. Its not completely wedged, i can stick a pry bar on the fork and actuate the pressure plate.
I am still trying to get the motor out of the car and unfortunately i decided a while back that i would just leave the transmission in the car because of storage reasons. Now im at the point of pulling the motor but i cant seem to get the pressure plate off of the input shaft. I removed the...
I recently bought a supra turbo and im in the process of a FULL rebuild. Now my title says its a 89 model year but the sticker on the door says 12/88. I looked at the block and its an earlier casting but i have the newer taillights and front fascia. So do i have an 88 or an 89?
Yea he did. His shop builds everything from 240's, ae86 corollas and specializes in 300zx's. Hes built several 7m's and is working right now on a mkiv with 800hp. He says the same guy that balanced the rotating assembly on the 2jz will be doing my 7m. I dont know anybody that has had a 7m...
Ok so i found a shop that is able to do the work finally. He quoted me $900 to rebuild the head, machine the block and check the cylinders, polish the crank, and balance the rotating assembly. Is that a pretty good deal?
After calling 10+ performance/machine shops around me, nobody will touch a 7m because they dont know how to machine it correctly. I need a shop that will do it. Anybody know of one in so cal somewhere in the inland empire?
