My n/a 88 had a great feel to the handling. Steering wheel feel was just right for tight twisty roads. Sold that car. Now I have a '90 turbo and the steering wheel is so easy to turn it just doesnt have the "feel" of the good handling machine it is. Anyone feel the same or deal with this at all.

Is your ECU for manual or Auto? The ECU should say M/T on it? Not sure if that would be reason for blinking but the Prev owner did the swap on mine and I noticed he swapped the ECU. I ended up swapping my instrument cluster for a manual trans cluster as well.
Ive done it twice without removing cams, no problem. Once with large flat screwdriver and magnet. Then once with the toyota special tool and magnet, which was even better. If you dont remove the cams just follow the tsrm http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=7

This has been resolved, not sure what it was. Car had a low battery when it happened. After charging the bat all night it was fine. Not sure if that was related, but no problems since.
Just curious, what year/model did the 160mph speedo come in. Was it all turbo models? or just turbo after 89'? Or all supras after a certain year? none of the above?
I had uhaul install the flat style on my MkII back in 1995 so I could pull a 4x8 trailer from cali to kentucky. A great tow car, I remember the cruise control holding pullin the trailer about 68mph for a hundred miles at a time with no problem. eh hem... i mean 45mph of course:)

..anything obvious that could be unplugged or failed that would cause my idle to go from a near perfect idle 700rpm consistantly, to starting it today and it idle at a steady smooth 1200rpm. Runs fine, no codes but cant figure what could have happened while it was sitting that would cause it.
When I shift gears I am getting what sounds like a backfire out of the tail pipe under boost. Could my stock bov not be opening? I only have about 20mi on car with new turbo, running very well otherwise.
