This is the wiring diagram for the TPS.

It doesn't look like those wires are related. Could you clarify the wire color and stripe color for each, and where they are coming from?
It looks like possibly wiring to the...
You guys are missing out. Love the snow. Love the seasons. Love the depression, LOL.
My supra is very clean, only rust is from a bad repair years ago when my Dad owned the car, and that will be fixed soon. I work over the bottom of the car every year, changed most of the rusted bolts...
If you have a regular spark, the CPS is probably working. Test it with a spare plug, and EFI fuse pulled out in case gas is sitting in the cylinder from starting attempts, which may explode if you have the plug out and test spark.
You can test gap and impedance off the CPS with a DVM. If...
I bought bushings, but I'm afraid to start until I know how much down time to expect. I might do the struts first, then take it apart again to do bushings one wheel at a time. RonnieK, on his site, says you need special tools, a press, and a lot of time to do all the bushings, so that's a bit...
I love the supra in the snow. Play time! I went with very narrow tires, 195 or 205, and it worked the last two years. Takes practice but then its great. My problem this year is that I haven't transferred the LSD to the new car, or worked on my suspension yet, so I may end up driving the truck...
Thanks, this is all great info.
I have tried to be true to one vision for what I am building, but it's tempting to deviate. As for not driving in the snow: then you don't drive much at all around here. Snow starts this week and goes to April, and you never know when you are going to be at...
Back full circle to maybe keep TEMS, maybe don't want to lower it, maybe don't have an option for springs without lowering, but that might be okay with the sway bar.
I like it, it saves money, surely will be better than what I have now: 4 blown cartridges.
Bushings: just order a "Set"...
First, thanks for the info.
Will do. I have a decent muffler without a silencer to put on, so I have to find a silencer to accomplish that, also wonder about other options, but I want to stick to the suspension topic for this thread.
Because I'm in Michigan at a cul-de-sac at the bottom...
I'm ready to start work on my MKIII suspension, and I would love help figuring out what to blow a little money one. I would like to spend less than $1000 in parts, not including the dampers.
Background: I have an NA-T swap, mid to late '89 body, TEMS apparatus added from a parts car. This is...
Some interesting comparisons between the generations, enough to make me slightly interested in learning about the differences between the two. But I can't believe MKIII and MKIV owners don't get along. Really? Never met an MKIV owner I didn't like. At least on the forums. Never met an MKIV...
