Ok problem solved.. the radiator was 70% clogged. Thanks everybody for your suggestions.

It is the stock gauge. I drove the car today for about a hundred miles until it said it was a little over 3/4 on the gauge, and i used an infrared thermometer and it said my temp was between 180-195.... soo I'm thinking it's the sensor.. or the gauge.. is it normal for these things to go...

I can race around town all day no problem and the temp stays below half.. I can drive on the freeway for several hours and the temp stays below half.. but as soon as i get OFF the freeway after driving for about 30-45 minutes and start to slow down or come to a stop, it gets hot.. so I turn on...

All of the wiring in the engine compartment seems fine.. nothing is grounded out.. what else could it be? the fuse ONLY blows after the car is warmed up.. does this make any sense? I am completely lost here.. and I have no other car on the road right now so this is really killin me

oh and it hasn't blown at an idle either.

doesn't seem to be the o2 sensor or any of the wires on the exhaust side of the engine. The fuse seems to only blow after the motor is warmed up. Is there any way it could be the ecu or fuel pump?

soo.. did changing the turbo fix the problem? I'm having the same problem right now.. only on the freeway going uphill it gets up to about 3/4.. otherwise around town and level ground its fine.. I'm thinking BHG for me :cry:

EFI fuse keeps blowing at random it seems. I'm assuming I have a short somewhere but have yet to find the problem wire. Is there anything else that could cause this fuse to blow? Or has anyone else had this problem and have any suggestions as to where I could/should be looking? Any tips or...

as well as pioneer.. i actually prefer it over alpine now.. but ive got a jvc dd with jl speakers all around .. and a w7.. ive got no complaints

I've had this problem a couple times.. one time it was the efi fuse blowing due to a loose dimmer wire behind the radio grounding out.. and the other time was because of a small oil leak coming out of the cps and it was destroying the wires.. the temporary fix was to move the wires...

i haven't had any problems with any of the jvc, pioneer, or alpine units... probably depends on which system you get.. one time i bought an off brand dvd player for 100 bucks and it was shit.. but obviously you get what you pay for

I actually had this same problem. Redline helped A LOT, but it took a few weeks to really notice a change. As for reverse, I suggest putting it into first gear and moving forward a little, then putting it into reverse. Works for me.
