Car drives MUCH better with new lower balljoints, but it's still not perfect. I have some new upper+lower poly bushings ordered and ready to pick up, so I'll try and install them this weekend and see how well this car can handle! ps. When I removed the old balljoints I used the picklefork and...

Ah, fair enough, that's a good point. :) I suppose if I can find some second hand bits with locally available parts, that would be okay but if I go Tein etc then I'll stick to new. :)

Is it worth getting brand new or is it just as good to get used coilovers and have them re-valved, etc? Seems silly to buy a brand new set of Teins and then revalve them anyway (which normally includes a 'rebuild' too, right?) ! :)

Bit costly, but not too bad considering what you're getting. I don't know if there's anyone locally that could build coilovers to my custom specs... I'll have a look around for someone that may be able to work with me to build something up. :)

OK, I went down the shop and bought a different picklefork, which worked well.. But now I need to disconnect the strut from the lower control arm before I can get the last of the balljoint bolts out... what a stupid design! Gosh I hope I can get that strut back in there!

I can't break the taper on the lower balljoints :( Got the wheels off, took the nuts off the top of the balljoint, but I can't get it out of the steering knuckle. I picked up a picklefork but i can't seem to get it in there properly. I've been smacking the end of the picklefork with a hammer...

Well if the high quality models are going to hide some of the uncomfort of Aussie roads then that's what I'm after. Any specific models, recommendations, etc?

What is the signal coming from the knock sensors meant to look like? From what I saw there was no constant signal, just a slight 'flick' up to about 1V every X seconds (i assume this flick is the cylinder behind the knock sensor firing). What is the ECU actually looking for? (where's jetjock...

This is getting rediculous. What the fuck else could it be? Internal wiring of the ECU? Maybe time to hook up the scope to again and make sure the little sensor bastards are still working.
