Well, since I do not dragrace it's great for me. It make the car much more responsive. Dragracing requires a different toolset than just spirited driving.
Are you talking about Forza 1 or 2, because the new one has been built from the ground up with a totally new physics engine. Anyway, my main point was that F2 is out now and GT5 will be "out when it's done". I for one hope that GT5 is worth my time. In F2, I plugged in some of the numbers...
You could make an argument for a more fun simulator, but Forza 2 is much more realistic when it comes to car physics, damage modeling, and opponent A.I. I liked the GT series also, but Forza 2 raised the bar. We'll see what they actually deliver when the game is out.
Why wait for GT5? Forza 2 is out now and yes, the MKIII is in there. The car comes with 2.0 TT, but you can swap in a 7M-GTE, or 2JZ. There is even a Do-Luck version available.
Nothing less than the XR series. Ge the ZR's if you have the cash. The TR's are good enough for rear fill. Personally I like a more agressive tweeter in my car. It give me more ajustability to tune around the road noise. The harshness can be smoothed out with a good head unit and crossover/eq.
I've recently upgraded my XR's to the new ZR's 6.50's in my Supra. They sound great to me. I've had JL's in my car since '99. As far as the tweeters sounding harsh, I think that's a personal preference. Some like the sound a silk dome tweeter gives vs. an aluminum dome tweeter. For may home...
I've replaced the starter with a new Toyota reman. It's been on there for 2 weeks. So far so good. I do need to look into replacing the wire that goes to the starter though.
I run JL Audio for my whole system. I use the Evolution 6.25 XR's for the front and Evolution TR's for the rear fill. I had a W3 sub box built for the rear spare tire area (sacrificed the spare). To run all this I used JL's excellent 300/4 for the internals and 500/1 for the sub. I did run...
I can jump start the car fine. I have power for eveything. New battery and alternator. I hear the click of the starter relay and the buzz of the electronics and fuel pump when I turn the key, but nothing else. Only happens when the car is warm.
