no spark, no activity from the injectors. i checked the resistance on the crank sensor and its reading 1082 ohms. now does that deem that part bad? the reason i had my ecu recapped was i opened it up and saw i had a blown cap and thought that was it because the ecu sends the signals for spark...

now the crank sensor from the 2jz will work on the 1jz correct? if not where do i find one.

trace the ground wire to the motor and make sure that it is not grounding out anywhere. if it is sparking when u put that wire on then i would trace it and make sure there isnt any niches in it or anything like that.

ok here is what i have replaced and repaired. i have a new igniter, map sensor and i have had my ecu recapped and i still have no fire. is it possible that the crank angle sensor would prevent my engine from firing. if so does anyone know what the resistance is to check it?

if its not hooked up check the big black wires from the fuse box to the alt. before i hooked mine up it grounded out on the throttle body and threw sparks.

hmmm yeah none of my guages function at all. the lights like the open door and other indicator lights work but no responce from guages. any ideas where there might be a problem. maybe something simple i am overlooking.

ok here is my question. my guage cluster has no readings on it whenn i turn the key to the on position nor will the guages light up. my question is the wire in the 1jz wiring that is labeled "dash ground", would that keep the guage cluster from working properly or should i turn else where. note...

hey not much. found out the capacitor on the daughter board of my ecu blew out so thats why it would not start. so im having the ecu shipped out to aaron @ driftmotion and getting new capacitors put in. hopefully after that it will finally run. so hows the 7m coming along?

i have a jza70 ecu with a burnt capacitor. i found a hks f-con v setup. my question is is that if i have the f-con installed and my ecu still has a burnt capacitor the f-con will not function will it?

ok so nothing works on my guage cluster. gas guage, volt meter. i have the lights like abs and battery lit up. also when i turn on my switch for the lights, parking lights, etc the guages dont light but. i already checked the fuse in the kick panel. any thoughts.

well problem solved....... i think. found a burnt cap on the ecu. after i find an ecu we will see what happens.

ive been going through all the connectors on my ecu and the ones that are supposed to have power have little to no power and the grounds arent grounded. where can the problem be. all the relays click and none of my fuses are blown. any suggestions?
