Thanks, it's pretty clean other than some rust above the rear wheels. I will be putting the aftermarket rims that are on the 86.5 on the 90 when the time comes.

Agreed. I work at O'Reilly's, and the first question that pops up when you put 86 in the computer is: Engine 2.8 or 3.0, but it's safe to go with 87.

Luckily no one has ever tried to steal mine that I know of. I have had enough idiots jamming shopping carts up next to it at parking lots though.:3d_frown:

I have looked around for an answer to my question, but have not found an exact answer. Here goes... I have a 90 turbo that was an auto, but I will be putting an R154 in. Will I need to use a cable from a manual car, or will the one currently in there work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to see your car get hit. I was rear ended in my 86.5 about 4 years ago. It scratched my bumper and cracked one of my taillights, but the fender on the lady's Lumina was pushed back into the door so far that it wouldn't open.

I think I read before that the last numbers on the VIN are the order in which the car was built. I am just curious because the last numbers on my 86.5 are 1544. Does anyone know if this means it is the 1544th MK3 built? And if so, was this the 1544th one shipped to the U.S., or 1544th...
