Try pulling the negative cable off the battery for a few seconds, to re-set the ecu. By driving without the intake, the engine was pulling in un-metered air, which messed up the air-fuel ratio. I could be way off, this is just a guess.

Now all you need is a chair with a shitter built in to it, and you never have to get up! :icon_razz

For around $500 you can get a rebuilt head and swap it out for your old one. I did that on mine and it went very smoothly.

It could be the gauge or the sending unit. Have you messed with the gauge before, taken the dash apart or anything like that?

The same thing happened to my op gauge when I took the dash apart to install the white gauge faces, only mine just stays on 0lbs. I just got a new gauge and installed it where the cig. lighter was. The only problem with getting a new gauge is the you will need to replace the sender (I think)...

I recently replaced my brake master and booster, I did the bench bleed on the master, and I have bled the brake lines twice and I still have the same problem. The brake pedal starts out feeling normal, but it progressively gets stiffer until it has no play at all and the brakes are engaged, wtf...

In order to own a mkIII, you either need tools, a garage, and the know how, or a butt load of money. I've driven these cars for 16 years, so I know this from experience. I'm not trying to shit on you, just telling you how it is, good luck with the problem, hope you get it fixed.
