Yea like bioskyline said the auto drive shaft is about 2 inchs shorter than a manual one. I found this out when I ordered my 1 piece driveshaft from jaws gear only to find they sent me one for a manual car when I specifically called and told them my dimensions.
Get the tranny rebuilt and make sure they put blue race clutches in it and replace all the o-rings as that is how I burned up my rebuilt tranny because they didn't replace the o-rings on the shift solnoid and I got 2 races out of it before 2nd started slipping. I have dyno'd 300 to the wheels...
Hey guys I just swapped my 89 Turbo engine over to a 91 NA shell that I picked up. Being as I had to replace the whole inside wiring with my wire harness from the 89 I don't have a plug for the factory sunroof to work now. The TSRM doesn't show the sunroof option so I was wondering if anybody...
Jeff I have a torsion setup that I haven't installed yet and a NA rearend laying in the garage. I could dig it out and see about measuring them if needed. I was going to sell the torsion setup as I just rebuilt my LSD with new clutches and what not. Don't need it now, I guess I should take a...
Yes they are really soft for racing. I swapped out the springs for some Eibachs being as they said it would take over a month to get a bigger spring rate in. So I basically moved the 14K to the rear and put 1200 pd Eibachs in the front. This is a good ratio for racing especially with slicks
Yea it don't do too bad. Just found out from MVP that Stance had to order the 17K springs from Japan and they wouldn't be here till Jun. Piss on that, I canceled the order and measured today and they are the common 2.5 inner diameter so I am going back with the Eibachs that I used to have on...
What type of dyno was this??? Must not have been a Mustang dyno by the looks of it. Because I did 300 to the wheel on a mustang and I was at about 16 psi with A/F at 11.1
Well I discovered that the Stance come stock with 14k springs up front and they are not stiff enough for autocross racing. I ordered some 17k from MVP and still waiting. I have another race next weekend so I was hoping to get these new springs in and give it whirl. I also dyno'd the car today...
I would just remove it, unless you need the emissions in FL. Any silicone hose will work just fine. I removed all of that on my ride and have had no problems, but I am in SC and not FL. We don't have emission testing yet.
I got my flexalite fans wired into the stock connector that the A/C fans used to be on. I put a be cool 185 degree sensor in the T-stat housing. The fans have a 30amp fuse inline and so far they kick on and off just fine. When summer comes if they don't cool as well as I hope then they will...
Yea I got a spare one as well that when I rebuild my tranny I was going to put it in as it looks newer than the one I got in my car. It should be easy to swap out. Forced Torque has lots of spare parts LOL
Why not just borrow a truck and when you get up there rent a 2 wheel dolly from U-haul and drag it back. That might be the cheapest way. When I find the right shell that is what I am going to do
Yea you can rent a coolant tester, hook it up and pump about 16 pds into it and then look for leaks, if you don't find any then watch the gauge if it starts dropping in pressure then you have something wrong. Start the car up with it attached and see if the pressure goes up. If it does then...
I was behind a new solara coming home last night and when he hit his brakes and the LEDS lite up, WOW if you don't see him then you must be blind. As for the brightness I think it would be worth it so that no body rearends you like they like to do here in SC. I would do this if I knew how to...
