I had 550's and lexus, ran so rich i had piston wash. I won't do it again without AFPR, fuel tunning(SAFC), and if you want to go over 14 psi boost you need a new fuel pump(at least thats what i've heard) walbro is dirt cheap and a worthy upgrade.
So my starter was going bad so I got a new one from Advanced Auto parts. I spent all day putting it in, real pain in the ass as everyone knows. So i'm driving back from the military base auto hobby shop, and stop for a bite to eat at McDonalds. When I come back out, my car won't start...
alright its definetly the starter, just got a rebuilt one from autozone gonna throw it in this weekend. Then I get to see how hard this starter motor really is to put in. Thanks guys and wish me luck, gotta do it by myself.
As far as I know, FL is pretty easy to get away with anything. I've seen cars all neon'd out driving around and tint like a limo on all kinds of cars. But for sure, no vehicle inspections for registration
Hey guys, been having a recurring problem where after driving my car and shutting it off, I have to wait for a good 30 minutes or so before I can start it back up. If I turn the key everything gets power but it doesn't crank at all. I can hear the electric fans running and the car won't start...
i like the occasional backfire, makes people jump:) especially now that I can control when it happens and when it doesn't, just gotta play with the throttle a little when i shift.
Just don't have a Toyota dealership do it. Mine blew out on me when I was driving cross country in Wisconson. They charged me 115 for the cyclinder, and 360 in labor for a job that takes an hour tops. I'll die before I take it back to a dealer.
I've got an HKS and I love it, very loud at stock boost, you will definetly turn some heads. I backfire every once in a while from external venting, but nothing major.
ok so my rewireing job didn't go too well, I see from the other threads that you can bypass the VSV if you are getting rid of the ERG system. Can I bypass the VSV (FPU) without doing anything else, or will this screw something up.
Hey guys I've been noticing that everyonce and a while my car idles really low, bout 500-700 rpms, at the same time as it idles bad I notice that my pressure reads -12ish in Hg. When it is idleing nice its at about -20 in Hg. It mostly does it when the engine has been run for about 30 minutes...
I first learned to drive stick in a 96 trans-am with a clutch that was almost shot, I've got an RPS street clutch in my supra and its tons easier to drive than the trans-am. As long as they aren't riding the clutch I wouldn't worry about it, only thing I worry about letting people drive my car...
Damn dude you have the exact same car as I do minus the chrome rims, but same interior and exterior. But I just painted mine. Looks a lot better than mine did though!
should be another page, when I installed mine it had a page for an internal wastegate. I'm not sure if they are the same set ups but I have an EVC III in my car. But if they are, port one goes to uninterrupted manifold pressure, port 2 goes to turbocharger compressor housing(discharge side)...
