i would be doing most of the work myself if not all of it. my problem is the Xmember for the 1J to bolt to the 240's xmember.
i seen that site 2Jswap.com or whatever and they want like 1500 or more for the xmember.
nice
i'm still thinking about doing this
if i could do an S13 or S14 singled 1J swap for 9K i'd prolly do it.
i just want something new to toy with, but am also looking at just getting a NEWER car (99+) working on old cars is really getting.....well........OLD
ummmmmmm....... is your self-esteem REALLY that low that you need to come on here and bitch and moan so people feel bad for you and will give you the "awwww poor baby, but good job" routine????
big deal it was a friggin event and no one ran their cars and no one entered certain classes. maybe...
Jay you crack me up with your videos
after talking to you when i was over at justin's on the phone and hearing you alabamian accent and everything and then you have all this crunk music in your vids i just can't help but to bust out in tears laughing!! hahahaha
but sweet pics, and it still...
damn jay that blows. (no pun intended)
hope its nothing major. were the AF's going way lean while messing around or did you run the car on the track and then it messed up?
not true.
mine didn't run funny at all until boost from 4K on. stronger signal to the coil packs at the point can cause them to arc where as they won't at low rpm/ low throttle.
i doubt its the exposed wire but anything is possible.
i remember someone posted that busted coil pack connectors can cause a car to really mess up, but i have NO plastic connectors at all. they ALL broke when installing the harness.
like its literally just the two wires plugging...
pre 89 mounts are solid. 89+ mounts are liquid filled (tend to die faster) as for which cross member to use......
the BIC mounts come in a pre89 form and an 89+ form. which did you order???? then you'll know which xmember to use.
i would get the correct step on the flywheel. it shouldn't be TOOO big a problem with the ACT.
i will be running the same clutch in the near future. i heard that its a little more grabby than the stock clutch but bareable.
