    odd intermittent noise at idle

I would check for looseness in all the bolts, and if I found more than one or two loose ones, I would back off all the bolts a turn or so in opposite order of tightening sequence and then retorque them in sequence. If it's just 2 or 3 loose bolts you could probably get way with just tightening...

    odd intermittent noise at idle

I know you said it "sounds" like it's coming from the bottom end I'm sure it does "sound" like it's coming from the bottom end. But, from what you described...I think there is a strong possibility that you've got loose cam saddles. Makes just the sound you're describing. It's easy enough...

    Fellow Supra Owner in Need

I hate hearing stuff like this, as I'm sure everyone does. When I was in my mid twenties I had a motorcycle accident (my fault) and got pretty messed up. I had motorcycle insurance, but no health insurance. Three weeks later I hobbled out of the hospital on crutches with a bill that would...

Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass items what would you make?

CF trim panels to replace the black plastic covers just behind the door windows ( on the b pillar). I can't believe they're not available. I had mine custom made using the originals as a model for the mold. Since they're one-off (1 set only), they were stupid expensive. I'll take a pic...

    Noise filter wire?

I looked at the wiring diagram and it looks like it should plug into an ignition noise supressor. It's function is to filter out ignition RF noise from being picked-up by your stereo (in the form of a electric sounding whine out your speakers). Probably helps with ground loop noise as well...

how do u guys deal with the headgasket?

I haven't seen "crushed heads" from over torque, but I have seen cracks in 7m blocks between the head bolt hole and the cylinder walls, that were almost certainly attributable to over-torquing. Many engine blocks will crack like this when severely overtightened.

Vegas!!!! MK3's smack Talk/update on travellers heading to Vegas

Do you guys run out at Irwindale often? I'm there pretty often, and I'm usually the only MkIII there. I'll definitely look for you guys.

What do you guys shave with? (gals too if you wish)

Mach III better than anything else so far and I've tried alot of them. Haven't tried fusion, but it seems to be getting good buzz on this thread.

Car not starting randomly? READ THIS (30 Amp Starter Relay Mod)

Don’t you think it’s kind of shitty to sound off about how every one is a stupid hack, and if they only had skills and intelligence equal to that of a baboon (I'm paraphrasing) they could fix the "real" problem, and then remain silent while people overlook your lack of civility and politely...

    Tubbed Supra

I understand what rolling the fenders is. We used to do it with a baseball bat when I was a kid, I've also used the tool they make for it (the one that bolts to the hub). I think it weakens the fenderwells most times, as well as giving them a little different shape that I'm not in love with...

    voltage drop?

MkIII's are real sensitive to a bad battery, everything from eratic voltage and charging to hot start issues. Check the battery first.

    Tubbed Supra

I think I could beef-up the lower control arm to handle the additional stress and move the mount back some. How far? I'm not sure yet. As far as shocks go...I think the simplest/best way to go would be to valve some bilsteins or koni's to provide more dampening (comensurate with the...

    Tubbed Supra

I assume you mean move it inward...it occured to me too, but I'm concerned about finding a shock that would stand up to the increased leverage. That's right, I dont want to roll the fenders, it defeats the look I'm trying to get, how's that dumb? As I said, I'm looking for a mini tub...

    Storage

There is an additive you can put in your gas tank to preserve the gas and inhibit any corrosion that might otherwise occur. I can't remember the name of it but I'm sure a quick search of the web would locate it.

    # of mk3s around

I look forward to when most of them are crushed, at least the shit boxes anyway (which seem to be most of them). Maybe then my car will be worth something...:biglaugh:

    Tubbed Supra

It's a great system and I love the idea. If I were going to build a tube frame and just sit the car on it, then it would be worth doing. I fear getting the geometry right would be mind numbing. Having now given it some thought I want to keep this as simple as possible. That's the next...

    Tubbed Supra

It does defeat the main criteria which was to keep the cars integrity as a streetable driver. I don't want to start cutting the car up with maybe the exception of inner fender wells, which I would ideally just make larger, rather than cutting out the rear floor entirely. I don't want to get...
