I had to cut almost an inch off LOL And had to use a little lube because of the tight area back there. But to each his own ;] I'm also 4 hours 1 way from a toyota dealership.....SOOOO beggar's can't be choosers LOL

The Toyota one is expensive, but worth it. The 2 i got in the "Gates" hose set worked Great and i didn't have a problem. It actually came longer than the stock one, so you had more play room and no stretching. But, Just My 2 cents ;]

Are you using ATF as the power steering fluid? :] When i bought my recent soup, it had normal power steering fluid in it. I flushed it, replacing with Dexron III and it quietened it up. :] The bubbling sounds like air in the system. :] You could have a kink/Clog in the line somewhere.
