you dont want to go above 15 psi with OEM pistons... unless you can afford the rebuild later...
All depends on what you want to get "safely". If your not concerned.. up it... : )
I've been considering going back to the 88 front end (for a couple reasons, but one of them is the fact I scrape everywhere i go.. lol). I think a metal bar would definitely hold better (I think the stock one has a bar in the correct shape.. but i may be wrong).
Would rather scrape something...
With those injectors I would go for the denso markiv fuel pump...
Unless your on a budget, then the walbro 255 lph is a good buy. I lucked out and picked up my pump for 100.00
I ran a Denso MarkIV fuel pump simply because the Walbro is supposed to be a little noisy. As for reliability, unless your doing extreme upgrades I would think they are all relatively the same. The Denso has an excellent track record... but I believe its the most expensive.
Also.. what are you...
Well, I went back in (amazingly easy the second time) and found that I had missed a plug which is why my window wasn't working. They pack a lot of electronics into that area.
Going to just ignore the low fan speed because I dont really use it anyway.
Next job... AC on my 88.. gotta get a new...
who puts unleaded 87 octane in a Supra.. hopefully there's no turbo on that : )
3.785 litres in a US Gallon and we pay 1.19 per litre for premium currently... so.. yeah.. Im jelly...
are the resistors universal or do I have to get the OEM replacements?
and any idea why my pass window wouldnt roll down now that I have the heater working? Is there a junction in there that I could have unplugged?
odd that I didn't get any voltage out of the medium range, but it works fine now...
Well, I got a proper electrical tester and tested the power to the fan. It was 12 V to the High mode, 0.1 V to the Med, and 0 V to the Lo.
I bought a new blower motor and hooked it up (not knowing if I should be going clock-wise or counter clock-wise) and tested it outside of the housing. I put...
I couldnt see any shortblock specs. What magic is going to hold the 7M together when that amount of air pumps into it? (could have missed it)
This is the first Winnipeg build I have seen I think. Very nice, you got a track up there? Calgary lost ours... lol.
Dont recognize the center cap.. is that a true 2-piece or is that a one piece rim. My reasoning with wanting to stay with Volks or Works is I have had other rims and I find these Works that I have on currently (even though they were made in 2002) are the straightest, smoothest rim I have had so...
Really nice save.. and very surprised to see the car in that shape (after you unbutchered it) in Niagra...
being a fellow Canucklehead... just having metal on our cars is nice to see after 7 years.. lol.
Confused though... you havent really spec'd the timeline to do all this. When did you start?
They close for two weeks on the 21st so if its not ready by the 20th it will be sitting until first week of january. I had to give them a 16GB usb stick for the photos.. I like that...
Thought I would add... I like my wheels... but I dont love them. Im gonna see if I can change the wheels this...
Could be a setup for January-Fools Day.
What's that saying...
Oh yeah... Pics or it didn't happen!
Glass targa? I was just thinking about the logistics to making that...
Engine is in the car... RCTS is taking a ton of photos of what they have done, so I will have more pics later on...
not done yet... waiting... waiting.... gawd.. I hate waiting....
^lol
Some people dont need the money, but I would be doing flowers, a prepaid restaurant card and a couple other things as a thank you for that find... a 43k mileage Supra? I would also be asking her for the entire story of the car and writing it down with her name on it so you had a history...
