aluminum melts at roughly 1200 degree farenheit. The chances of your EGTs exceeding 1500 degrees are almost guaranteed. the oxide that forms will melt at over 2000 degrees terrible idea. good luck with that for any length of time. it just seems like it's so much more trouble than like 8 lbs...
