Nope.
The previous owner bought the car for his wife back in '89. She apparently got in to a BAD car accident (**in another vehicle**) and was afraid to drive her Supra.
So the car sat for over a decade, and a few years back (around 2008), the previous owner, the husband, got it back up...
Well, as I said, it's completely stock, so the BOV shouldn't be recirculated..?
I haven't touched a thing mechanically on the car (yet), so that shouldn't be the problem, I'm assuming.
How would I change the dashpot on the throttle body, and what is that, exactly? What purpose does it serve...
Howdy Folks,
Just a bit of a story before I explain my issue.
I was cruising on my way home from work, listening to the "Puff the Magic Dragon" theme-song (don't ask me why it's on my playlist), and I came to a red light behind this shiny black pickup truck.
Said truck was so shiny, I...
Unfortunately, unpaid fines in my province, whether handed out by a police officer or not, must be paid by the alloted time or else I get a lot of nasty demerit points and a court date. It sucks. D: They could peg me as a "Dangerous Driver", and I could even lose my license. Talk about Draconian!
The local RCMP were nice enough to take a fine photo of my Supra, for the low, low price of $80!
They even got my 'Guy Fawkes' mask in the shot, too! ;)
Disclaimer: 80km/h in a 70km/h zone, unfortunately, which isn't much; and I wasn't doing this on purpose. Speeding is bad, don't...
Yeah, that's my car. I'm "Gubru" on the Facepunch forums.
Hm, good instructions. I shall do another check today to determine if it is at the proper level.
Hah! You guys are brilliant, yanno what?!
I spent three hours checking, and topping off various fluids.
When I got to my power-steering reservoir, I cleaned the outside and removed the cap, cleaning the dipstick. I noticed there was just a dab left on the stick before I wiped; and I...

(Skip to 1:30 for example sound).
So I started noticing this recently; the only thing that has changed is that I've actually been using my Supra more, and the weather has been warming up. I've been hearing a squealing sound coming from somewhere under...
Ah well, no harm no foul. I'll just splice a new cord to the block heater and call it a day!
...As long as he doesn't bring it back with a door busted in or anything, I'll be fine. ;)
Thanks for all the support, fellas.
Well, he still has yet to fuel the car, but he said he'd bring it back with a full tank.
Mayhaps I over-reacted; there seems to be no damage to the parking brake system and as you guys said, a cord is easy to replace. <3
Happy St. Paddies day.
