Is there a "proper" way of removing a rivet? Would a dremel be too abrasive if I did in fact have to cut/dremel off the old rivet? Also, I have the hanger itself still attached to the car. The gas tank is under my carport at the moment. Was having an issue with the hanger lining back up, and I...
All,
When I was attempting to install the fuel pump hanger with the Walbro on it, I managed to crack off the connection to the power wire where it looks like a rivet at the top. Here is a picture of what I am referring to. Would it be possible to Dremel this off and install a new ring...
So could my CPS be off a tooth since it will crank right up and then cut right back off after a few seconds? I'm going to try to adjust my TPS and CPS today so see if I can get it run again and stay running lol.
I too am having an issue with timing I do believe and still have my code 51 present, lol. Once I get the TPS adjusted, how do I set the timing correctly even though it won't stay running? Advance it enough to get it to run and then retard it back to the 10* BTDC?
Thank you sir. :D I feel dumb now b/c I was looking in the EFI system index but apparently not far enough. Oh well. Thanks alot though. I'll update it again once I can tinker this weekend.
Yea, I know. I corrected it haha. Maybe I'm just stupid but I couldn't find the TPS in the TSRM. I'm trying to get it adjusted correctly so I can set my ignition timing. It's off slightly causing my car to run kinda funny, lol.
Pedal is staying on the floor probably due to the fact that either your clutch master and/or slave has gone bad or two you have air in the system or hell, maybe you didn't put it back on correctly. That could always be an issue. To test the spark full the efi fuse, pull number wire off the...
I got my temperature to work :D. It was the sender unit for the cluster. Also, I found jetjock's writeup about the code 51, but I am trying to find another source of information regarding proper adjustment of tps. Any thoughts/ideas/websites?
Yea, you are correct, that is the wire color for the sending sensor for the gauge. If it makes any difference for the 24, I didn't have my Apexi intake on it because I am still waiting for it to come in. I am trying to get all the kinks worked out of this car before I actually put it on the...
Yes, stock afm. Also, for whatever reason, my temp. gauge isn't working. I've replaced the temp sensor. I'm gonna replace the sender unit that goes to the gauge cluster and also check for continuity/resistance at the cluster itself to ensure I have power to it...even though all my other...
As the title states I checked my engine codes today because my idle was a bit high. As a result of checking the codes, I received a code 24 and 51. I pulled the efi fuse and pulled codes again....same thing. From what I have read, code 24 is something you don't really need to worry about...
The bottom diagram is more helpful....I just don't know where it runs to exactly. I will try to see if I can figure it out later today or tomorrow morning. These are the last couple lines I have to figure out before all the vac lines are complete :D. Yay. Hopefully I won't have any vac leaks...
I can't seem to find where this line goes from the ISC pipe <----I think that is what it is called
Also, the fuel rail has two "nipples" on it where I have a line stretched between the two. I assume this is not correct. Where do they go?
Thanks for the help in advance guys :D.
