    Old member returning

Wow, I registered 15 years ago! It feels like only yesterday when I got my first supra at 19 years old. I've blown up a few, and rebuilt a few, and enjoyed every minute of it. Without this forum, I never would have had the confidence to take on those early builds and develop into who I am today...

    Wastegate rod comes off occasionally?

I have a stock ct26 with an mbc set to ~12psi. Every once in a while, my wastegate rod/arm will come off of the wastegate hinge. It's really annoying, because i have to wait for the car to cool off and then remove the accordian hose, unbolt the wastegate, re-attach it to the hinge, and then...

    Oil pressure issues in boost

i replaced the turbo, mine had miles of shaftplay.. The oil pressure is now within spec, if not a little higher than before i had this issue. Apparently my turbo was so far gone that it was affecting my oil pressure :aigo:

What suspension/brake mods for street/road course?

Any thoughts on this? I've got a bunch of F body friends that think they are hot shit with their live axles when we cruise back roads :biglaugh:

Question about sealing rear timing cover(with pics)

I've had an issue with the cps leaking before and i've replaced the o-ring on it. It doesn't leak anymore, its possible that i didn't install one of the front seals properly. This was the first motor that i've ever built, so i've been paying for my mistakes since day one. It's a wonderful...

Question about sealing rear timing cover(with pics)

yeah its a composite with ARP studs, and it will be another one this time. Its just an engine to play with, i have a 2jzge that i'm building for an na-t swap. My 7m will probably never see over 300hp, it's there to keep me entertained and to set up megasquirt as i will be using 7m components on...

Question about sealing rear timing cover(with pics)

I believe it was, but it's been a while. It feels flush with the deck, if that matters.

Question about sealing rear timing cover(with pics)

I guess I made it out to be more complicated than it really is lol. Hopefully this will eliminate that pesky oil leak, thanks for the info!

Question about sealing rear timing cover(with pics)

I leak a little bit of oil from my timing case, and i've read in the tsrm that you are supposed to apply 'packing seal'(which i assume can be permatex 'the right stuff') to these 2 points on the timing case: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=55 I rebuilt my...
