hm this is eye opening.
I swapped in the 440 cc injectors, and only turned them down to 97% on my piggyback although its still probably running leaner than it should, it makes it up to 5k before breakup.
but after reading this i guess there is something else wrong.
im in the process of changing injectors, they were hard to remove, and now i can't get the new ones in all they way, i can't even get the stock ones back in now! i pushed them in as far as i could with my hands, then tightened down the retainer plate, but the plate is bending. i've made sure...
I researched this topic a more today. Last year i thought this was an issue with coil packs, as that seemed to be a common problem. i epoxy'd the cracks and put heat shrink over them, and this didn't really help that much, also i gapped my plugs to about .024 i believe. I read some posts that...
well, i've always had the breakup, sorry i didn't really make that clear, but over the winter i installed the wideband and the 14point4 uafc. i didn't know untill today what my burn ratios were.
I have a piggyback on my car but it currently isn't doing anything, because i'm trying to see how it behaves stock.
at the moment boosting 10 psi, and it breaks up around 4000 rpm, and now i can see that its running lean at that point, while doing a pull it is mid 13's then shoots up to 15 or...
Alright, I got everything sorted out, the UAFC requires at least a 7v input signal, so I had to make a circuit to convert the low voltage RPM signal into a higher voltage, in this case a 12v signal.
I was able to make this using radio shack components, Everything seems to be working well...
Alright I have my UAFC and MTX-L installed in my car, the only problem is that i'm not getting an rpm signal, I have tried using both of the rpm signals on the ecu. I would like to know how this signal works, is it a frequency signal? Because i believe the UAFC requires a frequency based signal.
Wow, that sounds awesome. i'm going go have to give it a try! although now im stumped with which wideband to go with, i've narrowed it down to 2 options, the 14point7 slc or the innovate mtx-l
the mtxl would be $75 cheaper, and i believe i could use the UAFC to datalog with it, although the...
So i posted this in the piggyback section almost a month ago and have had absolutely no response
"Just curious about this guy http://14point7.com/UAFC.php
i've heard good reviews from their widebands, but i haven't seen any talk of this.
I have a laptop so i think it would be really...
Just trying to get my speedometer to work accurately, i've found a few threads that helped a little, im just not sure how to remove the speedometer from the gauge cluster. Does anyone else know where i can find that write up? the link doesn't work for me..
So i searched and found this
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?78656-Speedometer-Adjustment-Calibration-How-To
which is really only a link to this
http://wiki.supramania.com/tiki-read...hp?articleId=6
which doesn't actually work.
So i have my gauge cluster out...
Just curious about this guy http://14point7.com/UAFC.php
i've heard good reviews from their widebands, but i haven't seen any talk of this.
I have a laptop so i think it would be really easy to make adjustments.
I was looking at getting a SAFC/II/Neo to tune, my 1jz with 440cc's but im...
Alright i'm not really worried about actual hp numbers, im using the 440cc's because they're cheap, and i'll just see where they take me, now with that said, will the stock fuel pump keep up with the injectors? Like i said, this isn't going to be an elaborate build, just getting rid of the...
Thanks for the awesome reply!
I've been reading a lot about holset turbos, and i haven't made up my mind yet, i'm also looking into maybe an hx40. Now do these turbos have interchangeable exhaust housings? like if i find an hx35 housing will it work with an hx40? If im going to by a new...
