Since I have a Supra with comparable mods and raced an SRT4 with similar mods with a video I will chime in here. We just started an ok channel here in STL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb-jpLVCnqY

Cars had following mods (as listed in video):

Supra: 87 Targa Stock turbo 7M-GTE @11.5psi, 3" turboback, intake, short-shifter, 996 Turbo BOV, slightly blown headgasket mod (cylinder 5 is dead too)

SRT-4: Stock turbo @ 15psi (possibly more but that's what I was told), AGP wastegate, intake, cat-back

My car's PO dynoed 269rwhp on a 110degree day before the head gasket went. I raced him on .82 bar so roughly 11psi? In my opinion, that SRT4 should have beat you. Just my 2cents

but he didn't.

Either you're a really good driver, or they're really terrible. Or a combo of both. Fwiw, if the race was a little longer, the SRT-4 would have passed you.

Sadly, yeah. PO of my car said the headgasket was changed properly and would never be an issue (I should have just stopped there). Was replaced with a stock one at 50k miles (had 95k when I got it) and it started to go 6 days later.

It's all good tho, she is getting a 1JZ very soon

Same story with my car, PO proved they did a full rebuild, all new gaskets. Drove it 4000 miles and pop! 300$ and a couple weekends later I had a good running car again.

Exactly!!! We did a few pulls on only 10psi and it was still crazy. Probably the best sounding import I've ever heard. By the time I ripped the 7m out and had it rebuilt the right way I may as well just have done a 1jz swap, and to me that's well worth it

[Sad , but you will just end up Torque less...at 7500rpm. QUOTE=DOUBL3 D;1896621]Exactly!!! We did a few pulls on only 10psi and it was still crazy. Probably the best sounding import I've ever heard. I had more torque than a 2jz at 7500rpm
Its early on will the 2jz get me in its torque curve
