I have the Scion unit in my 04 Celica. It is leaps and bounds better than any other stock Toyota unit. You have to search google for some of the hidden features of it. When I installed it, the sound was garbage. I found that if you hold down the SSP button you can choose car type (xA, xB, tC) all of which have their own very distinct sound. I have found that the xB has the best sound.

Oh, and there is a routine to allow you to change the text that displays when the unit is turned on as well.

Also, you will not get the ipod functionality working. There is a special harness that is needed and as far as I know, Toyota does not sell it.

Toyota 16814 with cd and cassette. Search on ebay. Plug and play. No trimming necessary. Same color as dash lights and dims as well.

I used to have a stock 02 Corolla HU in my Supra. It was a single din, so I had a pocket below it too.

I then lent it to my brother's girlfriend for her 87 Corolla, and then they broke up, so I never got it back.

yeap same one in 2000-2005 sienna's. Mind you i would never put one in my car as i love mp3 cd but there is a lot more options for those who go to junk yards and whatnot :) `

To set the record straight, Siennas 2004-present will not fit and are double din height and extra wide with a curved front panel (unless they have the factory Nav option, which is a double DIN inside a custom bezel). I own a 2007 Sienna so this is confirmed fact.

The previous Sienna model might fit 1998-2003, I have no info on that. The one I have in my Supra came out of a 2000 Tundra and is double DIN and fits perfect.

If you can see any numbers on the faceplate for reference please post them.

Hey, that's my car now.:biglaugh:
I was ordering a knob for that radio from Jeff Watson, and he said it's out of a newer MR2. Perfect fit.

Anyone have pics of the toyota 16814 stereo installed in an mk3? The 16814 stereo will fit my 89 supra mk3 correct? Plug and play? My original stereo came with the tape deck only..

How can I tell if my car has an External Amplifying or Internal Amplifying? I have a 1990 Supra NA Auto that was manufactured in Sept. of '89. Do I take out the front passenger seat and it's sitting there? Sorry, I'm kind of new to the whole audio system thing. The most I've done is replaced the factory tape deck with an Aftermarket Sony Xploid head unit (now not working) and now I want to put one from a Camry (Toyota 16814). Thanks.
