Same thing happend to me. I got to it intime that it just crack around the center section. I put another one on and it has been fine for over a year. I just contrubuted the failure to over tighting it when I put it on. I dunno...

Dr J recomends that you turn the fpr down to where it still idles good and then go from there. Try to leave the Scale factor alone.
