I just purchased the 7m-gte intercooler kit . It comes with a blow valve. At first it was making a whistle noise and now nothing. I have vacuum. I am worried that the blow off is not working at all. How can I test it. I am afraid of compressor surge. Any have any ideas let me know.

I have my turbo off and I was wondering should I go ahead and shim my oil filter relief valve. Will it hurt to shim the oil filter relief valve and not shim the oil pump. What will it do if you do one and not the other. Need some input.
