what will be needed for the swap? i have a 90 n/a auto (good running shape, just cant get legal)and have heard the motor will bolt up to the 4 speed in the truck.any good links or tips?
is it possible to remove the hose between the afm and the throttle boby and make an adapter that will put the afm against the throttle body to help reduce space?i dont know if it will even work, just an idea about space

the stock manifold can be welded, but unless it is free of all oil and dirt,(CLEANER THAN CLEAN)the weld will not penetrate good and will not hold.take it to a professional.i am a certified welder but even i dont want to deal with cast iron

well then try putting it in 90 or 180 degrees different than it is, just make sure that you blow off the retainer ring before you take it lost to insure no more junk goes into the tank.

the hose that comes off the cam cover and goes under the alt. is the one in question. i took it off to remove the camcovers to paint em and the hose was brittle. does it have to or need to be a preformed hose or will a regular hose work? does anyone know what size this hose is?
