Will this rim fit ?

i am gonna run slicks on the track with my mk3 supra,and got som rim's i want to buy,but will they fit ?

rim come from a mk4 and are: 8x17 with +40 offset
oem supra mk3 wheels are 7x16 with +37 offset
yokohama slick's are 240x610x17

woud the rim/tyre fit or will it rub?

17x8. Little confusing putting the width before diameter.

The rims will fit.

It'll fit for sure, but I'd look into a taller tire if I were buying slicks...

Hope you have welded some reinforcements into your rear subframe.....
They break if abused with sticky slicks on a sticky drag strip.

i am not dragracing,just gonna use it on some open trackdays and run around the track

i am buying used stcc "warm up" slicks cheap why woud you go for a taller tire ?

stock front Mk4 rims is 17"x8" (50mm offset). I have use it on my Mk3 with 235\45\R17 tyres. No problem.
so your 17"x8" with 40mm offset - is no problem too

Is this for raid race or drag race. In drag racing you want a taller tire for mOre grip.

I thought you were drag racing. Taller tire = more grip, higher mph per gear as well. Downside, they're a bit heavier, but if you have a good amount of power...
