The 272 BC make great power, but if I did it again I'd do the 264s. Reason 1 for a slightly better idle and gain some extra vacuum. I have problems with getting the heater valve to open on mine under cruise since installation. Plus mine seem to make great power in the 7000-7500 RPM range which is well beyond the limiter on a stock ECU. Pluse I know the bottom end is going to let loose eventually if I keep pushing 7500-7600 RPM all the time. Its kind of moot point anyways since the 264 and 272 are near identical specs.

Rumor has it that the BC 272 is made for a rev range higher then the stock limiter. True, Ian?

edit: Looks like mk2 weenie mentioned it already.

i would think 272 would be overkill for stock head. need os valves to take advantage. if hes only shootin for 500, 264 or even stock will be ok. just my opinion

I come from a land down under
Hands up who has personal experience with a 7M and aftermarket cams?......

Sure you can make 600 on stock cams if you run a huge turbo at high boost, I prefer a mid sized Turbo and a motor that makes more power from good parts selection so it drives nicely off boost.

It's all a compromise.

I think the same :bigthumb: .

I think is better make more power with less boost! :icon_razz , so if I can help my engine with some cams to make more power, I think that will be Ok!, and $400 for both cam's I think is a good deal if really help!

Also I have a pair of findanza cam gears ! :evil2:
