hi, I'm looking at a set of wheels, anyone know how a 17x7 with a +42 offset will look?

They look nice but you should really consider getting something wider then 7in for the rear wheels. Look on ebay for something staggered, like 8.5front and 9.5 wide in the rear. Or something at least wider then 7in. Those are the same width as stock. No to actually answer your question, I think a +42 offset will stick out a little much.

+42 will not stick out at all
a -42 would stick out a ridiculous amount

IMHO 17 X 7 +42 is maximum failure
