Wheel fit issue question

16x8" 5x4.5 bolt pattern and a 4.5" backspacing

What does this mean with the backspacing thing? Trying to see if they will fit the supra correctly but see nothing about offset so confused.

Yes I do not see anything in the search about explaining the backspacing fitment. Only offset.

If I am calculating it right.. that will be around a -12 offset.. so it won't fit.

Its actually 0-offset and correct they will not fit.

What would be the appropriate "backspacing" and tire I would be looking for then? I wish they would of just said offset on there.

Depending on the width of the rim +35 offset range is the way to go.

So get at me if I am wrong but for that rim to fit close to the ideal +35 goal we all like, I would need a 5.75 backspacing right?
