Anyway, I distinctly recall the driver hitting the 8500 rpm rev limiter in 5th gear of a mk4 I was tuning. It had 28" tall tires and the stock US 6 speed gearing. The butt GPS said about 600 miles an hour. I think he would have redlined 6th too if he didn't see me climbing out of the window.

I suck at math but, I have gone 160ish before and wasn't really scared. I think we were going a bit faster than that.

The car in question has trapped 138 in the 1/4 (on low boost) in 3rd gear...

6,4xx rpm 7mgte 3.73 rear end (160ish) 12psi stock everything aside from safc, pvc intercooler pipes, bic ddp, and 3.5" exhaust(waiting for t-66 and built motor)

It makes it harder to go that fast, but I've gone over 100 with the top off.

It's definately easier with the top on and windows up for obvious reasons...

180kmhr since that is as fast as the speedo goes. Tacho does not work either , so for now ill say 180 .

The owner's manual doesn't state anything about going fast with the top off :naughty:

It's not a TVR where the windshield wipers lift off the glass at 70MPH and the back glass blows out if you go over 100 with the windows down...

Don't remember if it was 150 or 155 but passed Noah and he was haulin' ass. That's with the targa off.

i was doing about 135 that day you passed by me, gotta watch the turns when we go that fast. oncoming traffic likes to get in the way sometimes.:3d_frown:
