what is the difference between a chasers or soarer 1jz

I want to swap to a 1 jz but I don't know what motor set will fit my mk3.I been looking but I can't find anything.Also does it have to a rear sump or front sump????

Difference is the wiring harness.

You need a rear sump pan and the brakets that fit your year mk3.

So I been reading and i see that the chaser motor come with a rear sump.Can someone verify if that is true.

Damm i Typed on ebay 1 jz rear sump and theres a couple for sale for 1500

chaser is front sump. soarer is rear sump.

they tag allsorts of things in ebay. just look for a 1jz engine in general. supra soarer chaser what ever doesnt matter.

I have a 1j out of a 90 jza70, runs great. HKS cam gears, GReddy underdrive pullys, aristo 440's, new timming belt and serp belt. PM me if interested..

You can get the pans off an sc300 if you get a front sump motor. Not a huge deal at all.
