What is the best exhaust for the N/A?

I am looking to get a cat back or whole exhaust system for my car if possible. I have searched and do have some ideas of which one are better for the N/A. However, fitment is the issue, are all the aftermarket exhaust out there have to be modified or fixed to be a fit on? There are no system out there that would be plug and play or direct fit? Anybody that had bought any catback system and don't mind to throw out some feedbacks would be nice.

My exhaust:

Magnaflow muffler, 2.5" custom bent, empty cat converter. Sounds healthy, with a nice throaty sound. And I'm always getting compliments on the sound. I'm about to swap the manifold for OBX headers from 935 motorsports.

Any exhaust for a MK3 will fit. I had a 3" piping with an Apex'i N1 for a while. I liked it but I live in the city and the noise was kinda loud.

HKS Sport Catback Exhaust for me, looks stock, but the sucker has a nice rumble to it

i think ima go with a setup another SM member had when his car was n/a. he had a TRD header,Catco high flow cat and a tanabe hyper medallion catback and i think ima do somethin along the lines of that, I might go with a test pipe in place of the cat i dunno.

And thats being an NA? Sounds nice. I was looking at the OBX header from 935motorsport on here but i wonder if it comes with the Y pipp or not. Also i will get a test pipp after that followed by one of the cat backs from 935motorsport.

yea that was icebergs car when it was n/a.


the y pipe should come with it and if you buy from 935 make sure you get them to correct it for you, i believe they offer a service for that.

I loved my 3" catback on my NA. Its mandrel bent, the muffler is a Megan Carbon Ti, instead of a cat it has a resonator. Definetely the BEST upgrade I ever did on my NA.
