So, I finally got the major qwirks fixed and I took the supra for a spin. Well I wraped all the loose wires in wire loom which didnt stand up to the turbo's heat! So I got to thinkin is their a wire loom that is made of turbo blanket material? That is flexible? Or I also thought of maybe puting aluminum foil tape over the plastic wire loom so the heat gets reflected??? I would love too know what your guys did! On the same note I dont want to relocate these sertain wires, I allready thought of that :]

Thanks in addvance!

Napa carries a thermal wire loom that is meant for spark plug wires that are in close provimity to exhaust headers. You would do better to wrap your exhaust and get a turbo blanket as it would lower overall underhood temps .

Yep ;)

I highly recommend using thermo tubing on the wiring harness in the area of the EGR (if you have one) and across the top of the motor to the CPS, water sensors, etc. I had the EGR burn a 3mm hole in my harness...caused all kind of mischief. It will help protect the wires from heat on top of the motor too.

Wrap the wires tight in electrical tape, then get a roll of adhesive head shield tape, and wrap the loom tight in that, then if you want to go the extra step, throw some bailing wire over top to hold it.

That's what I do. I'll go take a picture of it right now.

Edit: Here. It's not actually on my harness, but my PCV breather pipe.
