i had to bump start my car again. :( my reman starter is acting up. it starts fine when warm out, but just clicks if it gets cold out.
anyone ever hear of that? lol

My $5 is on worn/burned starter contacts. Pull the starter and remove the solenoid plunger cover- the contacts are copper and are usually lower grade copper on remans that I've seen. I know my dealer stocks the contacts, maybe your local dealer does too! Be sure to clean the plunger contact surface as well.

spent the last 8 hours or so disassembling the exhaust side of my 7M to do this AGAIN but this time with the DM 7/16 kit with coarse threads.

brings back memories of when I did my head gasket and helicoiled the exhaust studs with the 29/32 or whatever. Drilling those helicoils out was a bitch until I figured out a way to quickly get them to unwind, just push the drill in as hard as you can until it grips and unwinds it.

Today she ran beautifully I don't hear an exhaust leak anymore still have an oil leak though apparently I'll find out in a few days once everything settles in. Afterwards I gave her a nice special bath and she looks beautiful.

Removing head, found arp head studs but nothing felt torqued correctly the head bolts were able to break loose by hand, the studs were able to be removed with just an Allen wrench! Cams were also did not feel torqued no wonder I blew a headgasket. Worst of all whoever rebuilt the motor looks like he reused the pistons marked them on the top and reused the head gasket. Looks like I'll be rebuilding.

She does look beautiful.

Sorry to hear that drogon. Hopefully your rebuild will go smoothly.

While I was hosing off the soap in the back the lighting was just right and I just stood there still spraying the hose like I was hypnotized. The paint just looked so beautiful I was literally stunned for a moment and thinking damn it looks so good right now. Then after I dried it and cleaned the windows I stood back and it looked almost brand new the paint is in surprisingly great shape it has a few nicks, 1 small dent, and 1 deep scratch on the passenger rear quarter panel and of course my scuffed up front bumper and the nose piece is dull but everything else still has that pearl shine to it even after all of these years and it sat out in the sun for a couple of years before I bought it. They don't paint cars like they used to.

i think there's a way that i could, but mine doesn't work as it is. i think it's because it was an auto swapped to a 5 speed.

Just need to wire the black wire with white strip going to the cruise control computer through the cruise control clutch switch. It's the nss, so the cruise computer thinks it's in park or neutral.

Nope. Pull the speaker cover off, two screws there. Pull the plugs out of the handle, two screws in there. Then the handle comes off. The plugs are a bitch to take out and the screws behind then like to strip. I replaced mine with hex heads.
