Well while I was loading my car onto the trailer this morning so I can take it to the body shop while I went to push in the clutch I heard a big bag long and behold I had to put the trans out cause the center hub broke this sucks big time. :(

Just happened to me not too long ago. Found out whoever did the clutch last left out one of the washers (the big plastic one that is against the pp.) I'm willing to bet that's what caused it.

I didnt see that but I know that there was 3 washers 2 big ones and one small one that were bent and the small one looked like it broke in half but once I order a new one I will see how it looks. In the pic the ones on the floor are the ones that were off

This will be #3 lol. This one is an 88, and I also have a 90 & a 91. The new one is an N/A engine, but it's a stick with only 130k original miles. I'm trading my 92 n/a Eagle Talon and $600. Not too bad of a trade if I do say so myself, lol.

I have already made my decision to go for a 1JZ instead of 2JZ, the 7M is a great and stout motor and all but the JZ motors are just much better motors overall. I plan on keeping my 7M running then buy a 1jz and while I have that motor out replace all of the seals, get the head and block decked and slap on a metal head gasket with arp head studs, change out pistons, etc. build it to 400-500hp before dropping it in if funds permit. Otherwise, I'll just replace all of the seals and such and drop it in then mod it later on.

Just get another Supra and drop in a 1J Doat. I like to have my cake and eat it too, lol.

On a side note, I'm loading another video to YouTube with the new Supra... I'll post the link soon.

Not all of us can afford nor have the space for 3 supras lol. I don't like the 7M very much anyway it's not a bad motor but it's an old tough girl. Mine especially because my 7M has been through a lot ever since I have been fiddling with it and she is only leaking a very very small amount of oil and timing won't set properly even after I set everything to TDC the timing light shows the mark is about an inch to the left of where the numbers are, driving me nuts.

Are you making sure you are jumping t1 and e1 on the diagnostic port before attempting to adjust the timing? That will make the difference if you're not.

That's odd... If you're using that timing light that works like a strobe light, and jumping it, and tightening down the CPS after adjusting it, maybe your CS pulley is slipping...

You say you adjust it and it lines up with the 10° mark, then it eventually moves off? Or can you not get it to line up with the 10° mark in the first place?

I can't even get it to the area where the numbers are when I set it all to TDC the mark is about an inch to the left of where the numbers start.
