I just filled up my Supra with octane 91 Premium (high as octane as is generally available) :


$3.91 per gallon at Shell near my house. $60.00 to fill. YIKES!!!:aigo:

Are you ready for $5.00 per gallon gas? (Analists say expect it by this summer and maybe considerably higher).

It was $3.29 on-base today when I got gas. But, I put the midgrade in my IS.

That's horrible. I didn't know gas was that high over there.

Up here in the city 3.45 for regular and ive seen as high as 3.75 for premium but, two counties away in the state capitol its 2.19 for regular and 3.39 for premium

Maryland...I saw 3.59 for premium the other day. It's 3.29 for regular now, which I use in the daily driver.

Same reason I'm looking at buying a bike this spring. I figure I'll save a ton of money on gas if I commute with the bike, and just use the Supra for play.

That's a great plan on paper.. I thought it would work too. My Baby Ninja 250 gets 55-70 mpg but the insurance costs even on a 250 pretty much blow any savings out the door if not exceed it.

Assume $3.50 for gas, and 120 miles commuting per week.
15mpg Mustang costs $28/wk in gas.
55mpg Ninja 250 costs $7.63/wk in gas.

Save $88.26 per month in gas.
Insurance on the 250 costs about $65/month.

A 600 or 1000 would get worse milage and have higher insurance obviously.
