most guys generally use the 6097's or 3330's. At my work we sell the stock plugs for the 1jz and they run $12.99 each to the general public. IIRC they are NGK pt.# 3452. The 6097's are about $1.70 each and do the same job. Just check them and change them once in a while.

PK20R8 and BKR6EP-8 are the stock plugs for the 1JZ-GTE.

Same plugs were used on a ton of other Toyotas. Here is the part number for Toyota USA to get these: 90919-01180-83.

Hey fellas!

I got my 6097's (12) and installed them. About 2 bucks each from where I ordered them.

NOW.. my mechanic (which you could all flame, but he does work on turbo Toyotas mainly, and he does have 10 secs cars....) says that grade 7 is too hot!!! I was like: "wtf? Everyone in supramania told me to get these!"... he says he usually puts grade 8 spark plugs on this engine. Maybe he's just mistaken? Or maybe he uses that because he uses too much boost? (I'm running stock boost).

What can you guys tell me? What is stock grde?
