Was checking over things on my car before hitting the dyno...
Found out my cam gears were set wrong... a lot wrong.
Exhaust cam gear was 4 degrees advanced(maybe, could be retarded).. the mark for the cam side was 4 degrees toward the exhaust side. intake was 2 degrees the opposite direction.
Car runs and drives much smoother and better now. Way more power down low too.
I degreed them in to account for the extra thick metal head gasket. they are now both 1.5 degrees toward the exhaust side, putting the actual cam marks straight up.
Funny thing is, I made over 500whp with them like this last dyno session. I feel like I'm going to pick up a pretty good amount of power with this fixed.
Oh yes, and now instead of not making any boost until 3200 rpm @ WOT I now make 5 psi by 2600 rpm...
