please tell me where im going wrong, and why im not getting any codes. please note that my light is not on my dash, it is in the glove box. and my OD switch is right beside it. and my Tt wire is straight out of the trans ecu. i do exactly as it says, just per the way i have things wired in my car, and i get the steady blinking of 2 times per sec as it says i should with no codes. am i missing something? im headed out to try it again for about the 5th time today. ill let ya know if anything changes.

I smell sarcasm! Fiesty can be a good thing! Sometimes.

You said, "It does it with the ect plugged in or unplugged."
If it was still acting up with the ect unplugged then, on a factory stock car that eliminates all electronics.

Has your car successfully passed preliminary checks & the mechanical tests? If your unsure of them then I will list them, but judging by your diagrams you can probably find them.

yes it passes all mechanical and electrical tests. someone just go out, in a stock auto car, do 70mph, and go from drive to neutral and tell me what it does. if the engine rpms drop instantly, then i have a bug i want to work out. if the rpms drop a sec, then it compression brakes for a sec, then lets go and engine rpms drop to idle, while your still moving, then its normal. there is noone here in town that has an auto, that i know of. and your damn right im fiesty!! :evil2:

I'm just trying to help here so don't bite my head off, but, it sounds like your describing a tps problem in that last post. If it is adjusted a certain way then it will do as you described.

no i wont bite your head off. yes that is what it does. but..... it will do it with the ecu in or out, and with it out, there is not converter lockup, so the converter cant be unlocking when the ecu is unplugged right??? i can make it lock up, but i did it a couple times without locking it up and it still did it. i will double check my tps settings on Megasquirt tonight to make sure its doing it all right.

I tried it like 10 times and it does just what you described.

Going along 'bout 70mph, move the gear selector to neutral and you can feel it "engage" and then go to neutral.

I just rebuilt this transmission top to bottom less than 4K miles ago and it's perfect, so I guess that's the deal.
