ok new week and i got a new debate for y'all. Dodge Neon SRT-4 and the Chevy cobalt SS. I'm going with the SS because I'm more of a chevy guy and I think it looks better lol.

I assume you mean Cobalt SS.

As you could get a non-supercharged (or later, turbocharged) SS and it had that TERRIBLE ricer wing, I'm gonna say Neon wins this one.

Not a fan of either one really. The Neon can look pretty good, but it's still a stupid Neon...

Hmm... good comparison, for the class. I'm sure they're natural rivals to some. Personally, I almost bought an SRT4 before getting my first Supra. Then I thought about what I could do to a Supra with 20k, and went the route I went, and am a much happier (and faster) man for it. :)

If I had to choose, I think I'd go with the Dodge for the potential (seen some quick cars built), but the Chevy for everything else. Cobalts are pretty decent cars for what they are, and I'm sure the turbo is a good bit of fun to drive...

Back from the dying?

Jaguar E-type versus the Mercedes 300SL (old school gull-wing).

Discuss.

For me the E-type was beautiful, the Benz was not only beautiful but revolutionary.

Important to remember the 300sl debuted in 1954, the jaguar in 1961 so when comparing specs keep that in mind.

Oh man... That's a tough one.

E-type is iconic and at it's time, DESTROYED all the other equivelent cars that were much more expensive than it. But of course, Lucas electronics...

The Merc is the exact opposite being rediculously expensive in it's day and to buy now, but it was the fastest car on the road at the time.

If it was my money, I'd buy the E-type just because it's prettier

Personally, I'd flip a coin, as long as we're talking E-type roadster. The coupe is what I'd call... bleh. I just don't think the roof was part of the original intent of that car. :)

new week, new debate. this week, honda s2000 vs. bmw z3/z4. My pick is the Honda. I think it looks and sounds better, plus they are a little cheaper too.

Just for the sheer stupidity of a 9k redline, the S2K in my book. Plus, Honda subframes aren't famous for breaking (looking at you, Z3...).

Not familiar with this Z4M you speak of... it have the S54 from last generation's M3? If so... damn.

Z3 is little better than an overpriced Miata. Seriously.

Z4 on the other hand looks awesome, and the M version has 333HP out of a 3.2 I6 with a redline of 8K :D

S2000 probably is built better and will be cheaper to maintain (of course I'm pointing out the obvious), but they're both about the same price used (M edition is more expensive, obviously).

What about the Z8, can we vote for that one? Always did like those, 100k pricetag and slushbox be damned...
