Okay so I am making progress with my build and have noticed I am missing a few nuts and bolts throughout the engine :( Bought a parts lot basically when I got this gte and I was hoping it was all there.

question, on the block under the timing cover, is there some sort of fitting that goes to block water? Looks like a pipe thread? It's across from the oil pump shaft, drivers side when facing the block. cameras busted right now or I would have taken a picture.

All help is appreciated!

bump,

Here's a picture I was able to take from my cellphone. What I am talking about is the hole under the larger hole of the waterpump.. It's a threaded hole which I am not sure what goes there

sweet!! Now a new problem haha I need both of those.. Is that something I can just get at a bolt shop? Would you happen to know the thread size? I'm guessing a m12 x 1.5?

I'll have a dig around in the shed when I go out there this morning and see if I kept some plugs and measure them to confirm size, they need to be inhex though (allen key) as room is limited behind the timing case.

You know, I never noticed you were from the land down under haha no biggie I think I can find a set online in anodized blue like my AN fittings. Something like that would be fine I think in the motor

Steel would be better, they need to fairly tight and they're MUCH shorter than normal plugs of that size so they don't stick out.

I'm sure someone here has a junk block they could pull em out of maybe a WTB post??

There's what it looks like pretty much in case you weren't sure. Anybody know the torque that should be used on it? I searched for a while and ended up just making it "tight" on my engine. Just don't know how tight you can go before you risk cracking something.
